Scotty's MiracleSurgery

During Scotty’s initial medical examination, Little Shelter’s vet discovered something devastating. - A large cancerous tumor on Scotty’s liver. To make matters worse, these types of tumors are usually non-operable and Little Shelter was left to hope for a miracle.

Not about to give up, the next few months Little Shelter’s medical team conducted a series of tests from blood work to biopsies, while meeting with surgeons across Long Island. Despite all efforts, one by one the surgeons turned Scotty away believing surgery was too risky.

However, Little Shelter decided to call one last specialist...
That's when Scotty finally got the break he needed! -This specialist believed Scotty had a chance and a week later the surgery to remove the tumor was performed.

While Scotty is recovering, Little Shelter needs to find a way to pay for his $10,000 miracle surgery. By making a donation today, you can help Little Shelter continue to save dogs and cats like Scotty.

Miss Cleo Has Been Adopted!

After being rescued by the Town of Huntington Animal Shelter off the streets of Huntington Station, this is truly a rags to riches story. Poor Miss Cleo waited patiently for a family that didn’t come to get her. Despite all of this, she never lost her spirit and only showed love and kindness to everyone she met.

Having a longtime partnership with Little Shelter, the town reached out to alert us of Miss Cleo's plight. They knew Little Shelter could give her the care she needed and help her find a family that would cherish her the way she should have been all along. Of course,Little Shelter stepped in to help Miss Cleo.

Then, not even a month after being available for adoption, her new mom walked in and fell in love with her on-site! A few days later she was off to her new home were we know she will be spoiled for the rest of her life. Congratulations Miss Cleo!
