Miss Cleo's New Leash On Life

At 15 years of age, Miss Cleo was found wandering the streets of one of the worst parts of Huntington Station. When her family was contacted, they didn’t want her anymore and left her sitting in the Town of Huntington dogshelter. Poor Miss Cleo waited patiently for a family that wouldn’t be coming to get her. Despite all of this, she never lost her spirit and only showed love and kindness to everyone she met.

Having a long time partnership with LittleShelter, the town reached out to us alerting us of Miss Cleo's plight. They knew Little Sheltercould give her the care she needed and help her find a family that would cherish her the way she should have been all along. Of course, LittleShelter stepped in to help and Miss Cleo.

Miss Cleo is a happy go lucky old lady, who’s always eager to go on a walk. Don’t let her age fool you, this gal has plenty of spring in her step and many adventures to still go on. She’s a lovable dog who always wants to make friends and give kisses. When she’s not out on a walk, Miss Cleo loves to burrow under warm blankets or cuddle with her favorite staff members.

Miss Cleo's adopter will be sent home with a month's supply of food (which she loves), a great big basket of toys, abig fluffy dog bed, a free vet visit and specially priced adoption fee.* She is spayed, up to date on all her vaccinations and microchipped! If you think you are a fit for Miss Cleo stop by Little Shelter this week and ask to meet her. She is patiently waiting for you!
(*adopter must meet all Little Shelteradoption standards)

Alfie Has Been Adopted!

Alfie was rescued through Little Shelter's Passage To Freedom Program from an over inundated shelter in the Carolinas after Hurricane Florence. When he arrived at LittleShelter, Alfie wasted no time trying to make friends with everyone he could. He would reach his paws out from his cage to try and grab the attention of anyone passing by for alittle affection. We're happy to say this friendly little guy didn't have to wait long, shortly after he was available for adoption a family came in and fell in love with his funny antics. We're happy to say after a long journey, Alfie is in a furever home where he will be cherished for the special little kitty that he is. Congratulations to Alfie and his family.
