Welcome to the blog of Little Shelter Animal Rescue & Adoption Center.
We are a No-Kill, Non-Profit animal shelter located in Huntingon, NY.
Little Shelter was first established in 1927 by a woman named Anna Hunninghouse
who sought to change the way lost or homeless animals were treated. The
Shelter still stands on the same grounds and principals it was founded
During a single day here, a lot goes on! Between feeding, rescue, running adoptions, or just play time, it gets a bit hectic. There's a lot of great people here, and a lot of stories that go on. In my travels to and from different parts of the Shelter I'm always hearing different things. So, I thought it might be fun to start a blog of some of the happenings here.
Being Non-Profit, we do rely on the donations we receive from kind individuals. However, many people want to see that the money is going to the needs of the animals, and how the shelter is affecting lives. Through this blog I hope to give you a little insight to life here and the people who truly devote themselves to caring for the animals here. If you like what I'm posting, please donate so we can continue to save lives.
